Thirty members of UMass Emergency Medical Services and their advisors traveled to Philadelphia on February 23-25, 2018 to participate in the National Collegiate EMS Conference. The three-day event was full of training and networking opportunities with other College EMS groups from around the country. UMEMS was one of the largest contingents of the 1,200 attendees.
Bob Laford and Dominic Singh presented a program on UMass' preparations and response to the Meningitis B outbreak on campus, stressing the importance of the work done in the clinic operations by student groups like UMEMS and the College of Nursing.
