Gloves for Combination Hazards

Sometimes many different types of hazards are present at once.  In these cases, gloves that afford protection to multiple types of hazards may be necessary.  Various combinations can include chemically resistant cut resistant gloves and chemically resistant thermally resistant gloves.  Sometime gloves can be layered (i.e., double gloving) to afford multiple types of protection.  For example, disposable exam grad gloves can be worn over cut resistant glove liners to provide protection from wet materials and cut resistance.  If you have a need for protection from multiple hazards, please contact EH&S at askehs@umass.edu or (413)-545-2682 to discuss options and locate a supplier.
