Freezer Defrosting

Laboratories desire stable temperature storage for chemicals, biologicals, radiologicals and samples which is usually achieved through the use of manual defrost freezers. A common problem with these freezers is a significant build-up of ice over time. Because defrosting a freezer is a labor intensive and messy process, this task is often put off resulting in significant issues with these freezers. EH&S has prepared this fact sheet to help guide you through the freezer defrosting process.
