X-ray machines must be registered with the Radiation Safety Office. All Principle Investigators (PI’s) must be approved and authorized by the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) prior to using x-ray generating machines. Additionally, prior approval for procurement and installation of x-ray machines must be obtained from the Radiation Safety office.
To apply and register to use x-ray devices, please complete the form linked above and submit it to askehs@umass.edu. The RSO will contact you for any additional information that is needed and to schedule an evaluation.
